Representatives from the health care industry were unpleasantly surprised Thursday when five UConn students showed up to protest the Health Insurance Fair being held in the Student Union ballroom with their own unique twist.
The students arrived dressed to the nines, with faux-champagne glasses and cigars, masquerading as the grassroots activist group Billionaires for Wealthcare. The students were completely in-character, donning satirical names like Johnny Morebucks and Evona Richman.
“Today we were there to support the insurance fair that was going on, cause we appreciate recruiting young students to work for the insurance companies,” said Amanda Stauble, an 8th-semester political science major. “I particularly enjoyed handing out apples to people.”
