Members of Billionares for Wealthcare demanded honor and respect for the personhood of Blue Cross, and took the opportunity to announce the ticket of Blue Cross/Palin for 2012.

Billionaire Eunice Wentworth said, “Blue Cross has continued enjoying record profits and increased membership, and they have every right to raise prices during a recession. We are here in front of Blue Cross/Anthem corporate offices to let those silly health care reform demonstrators know that we will not allow the health care needs of Americans to affect the profits of billionaires.”

“We want to confuse people long enough that we can engage with them behind party lines,” said Marco Ceglie, a “Billionaire” based in New York.

The American Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) have been playing one of the longest running pranks on Americans for some time now. Known as the “Die in Debt Prank,” unsuspecting American families are driven into bankruptcy at the rate of one every ninety seconds, as the insurance companies surprise silly victims by telling them their policy doesn’t cover THAT illness. Hilarity ensues; death follows!

In response, a prank group calling themselves “Billionaires for Wealthcare” infiltrated the closing keynote address of the AHIP convention, and burst into this song:

“We said, ‘Tell us your disease.’ Then we invited them to walk it off on the red carpet, which was fun,” Foster explains, “and we offered them an Advil. That was our answer to health care—walk it off!”

It was parody, of course, though, as Foster says, a lot of people didn’t get it right away—and when they did, some didn’t appreciate being the butt of the Billionaires’ humor.

On the other hand, the Billionaires were well appreciated by the millions of progressives who’d worked to put Barack Obama in the White House, only to watch helplessly as the right wing ripped his health care plan apart, before he even had a health care plan.
